Saint Martha Prayer 1
Saint Martha,
I resort to thy aid and protection.
As proof of my affection and faith,
I offer thee this light, which I shall burn every Tuesday.
Comfort me in all my difficulties
and through the great favors thou didst enjoy
when the Savior was lodged in thy house,
intercede for my family,
that we be provided for in our necessities.
I ask of thee, Saint Martha,
to overcome all difficulties as thou didst overcome
the dragon which thou hadst at thy feet.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Saint Martha Prayer 2
O blessed St. Martha,
Your faith led Jesus to proclaim, “I am the resurrection and the life”;
and faith let you see beyond his humanity
when you cried out, “Lord I believe that you are the Messiah,
the Son of God.”
With firm hope you said,
I know that God will give you whatever you ask of him,
and Jesus called your brother Lazarus back from the dead.
With pure love for Jesus you welcomed him into your home.
Friend and servant of our Savior,
I too am “troubled about many things.”
(Pause for silent prayer.)
Pray for me that I may grow in faith, hope and love,
and that Jesus, who sat at your table,
will hear me and grant me a place at the banquet of eternal life.
Amen.

Saint Martha Prayer 3
Dear Lord,
We thank You for giving us St. Martha as an example of holiness.
Help us to imitate the love of You she showed
in her desire to be hospitable towards You
while You were in her home.
St. Martha, the Gospel tells us that you and your sister Mary
hosted Jesus in your home.
You were anxious to be as hospitable as you could towards Jesus,
and you tried to serve Him well.
Please bring my petitions before Christ Whom you served!
While you tended to household matters,
your sister sat at the feet of Jesus.
When Jesus gently rebuked you,
you came to see that closeness to Jesus
was even more important than actively serving Him.
Pray for me, that I may always strive
to have a deep relationship with Christ.
Pray that I may imitate your desire to serve God well in my life.
Amen.

Saint Martha Prayer 4
Oh Saint Martha,
We know that you believed that Jesus Christ
is the resurrection and life,
we ask you to pray for us to your friend,
Our Lord Jesus Christ,
so that he may raise us from the trap
of the spiritual death we are in.
Oh Saint Martha,
Beg our Lord Jesus Christ to come and remain in our hearts
so that we can remain alive in our souls
both now and in the life to come after our physical death.
Amen
