Scripture doesn’t tell you to get over it quickly. It says “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” God doesn’t stand at a distance waiting for you to feel better. He comes close.

Lord, my heart is broken.
I loved them, and now it’s over, and I don’t know what to do with all this.
Stay close to me.
Help me grieve without falling apart,
and remember who I am apart from this relationship.
Heal the hurt, in your time.
