June 25 Prayer – Courageous Faith

Lord our God,
Grant us courageous hearts, we pray.
Grant that we may always find our strength and support in you
and may bear with joy whatever the present days bring us.
No matter how much evil occurs, we know that your peace is already prepared.
We await your peace, and we are allowed to believe that everything will turn out
according to your will and according to the good you have prepared for your people on earth.
For in faith your people overcome the world,
and at last through their faith others too may receive something from you
and may lift their eyes to you, the God of truth, of justice, of salvation, and of peace.
Be with us every day, Lord God. Help us.
Bless us, and bless all who try to bring help where it is needed.
Let us praise your name forevermore.
Amen.

June 25 Prayer – Finding Divine Strength

Dear Heavenly Father,
When I look at the path ahead of me, I get discouraged.
I’m afraid I won’t be strong enough to face it alone.
I’m having doubts as I think about my situation.
Help me to rely on your strength above all else.
I know that even though the path may be difficult, I can make it with your help.
Lord, forgive me for thinking that I’m all alone.
You are always with me, and I need to seek you in prayer and trust that you hear me.
You are a faithful Father, so I stand on the promise of your presence right now.
I believe you are my Helper, my Guide, and my Deliverer.
Thank you for supplying the strength I need.
Not only for today, but for whatever lies ahead.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.

Devotional Reflection

June 25th arrives when summer’s vitality is on full display—plants flourishing, days extending long, and natural energy abundant. Yet even in this season of outward abundance, our inner landscapes may experience drought, challenge, or uncertainty. The prayers for this day address this paradox, seeking divine courage and strength while acknowledging human vulnerability and doubt.

The first prayer asks for “courageous hearts” that can “bear with joy whatever the present days bring us.” It acknowledges the reality of evil and difficulty in the world while affirming that divine “peace is already prepared.” This tension between present challenge and future promise echoes summer’s own rhythm—the abundance we now see emerged from spring’s uncertainty and will eventually yield to autumn’s changes. The prayer embraces this cyclical understanding, seeking to overcome present difficulties through faith while trusting in God’s ultimate purposes “for your people on earth.”

The second prayer speaks with intimate honesty about feelings of discouragement, fear, and doubt. It acknowledges our human tendency to believe we must face life’s challenges “alone,” forgetting divine companionship and support. With vulnerable transparency, it confesses, “I’m afraid I won’t be strong enough” while affirming the countertruth: “I can make it with your help.” This prayer reminds us that even in seasons of natural strength and growth, we remain dependent on divine strength that transcends our own capabilities. It claims the promises of God’s presence as “Helper, Guide, and Deliverer,” providing strength not just for immediate challenges but “for whatever lies ahead.”
