The idea is older than the movie. Jesus told his disciples to “enter into thy closet” to pray. Daniel prayed three times a day at a window facing Jerusalem. A battle plan is simply prayer with a place, a list and a habit: knowing what you’re praying for, why, and when.

How to Make a Prayer Battle Plan
- Choose a place. A closet, a chair, a corner of the bedroom. Somewhere you can be undisturbed.
- Write your requests. Your marriage, your children, your health, your work, a friend far from God. Be specific.
- Find a verse for each one. Pray God’s promises back to him.
- Set a time. Morning, lunch, bedtime. Consistency matters more than length.
- Record answers. Date them. You’ll need the encouragement later.
An Opening Prayer for Your Battle Plan
Lord, I’m coming to you with a plan, because I’m tired of praying only when I panic.
Teach me to pray.
Show me what to ask for and how to ask.
Give me faith to keep praying when I don’t see results,
and humility to accept your answers.
