Mindfulness prayer is a practice that involves combining the elements of mindfulness and prayer. It is a way to focus one’s attention on the present moment and connect with a higher power or divine presence through prayerful intention. During mindfulness prayer, individuals strive to remain fully present, while also opening themselves up to spiritual guidance and direction. This practice can take many forms, including prayerful meditation, chanting, or the use of a sacred text. The goal of mindfulness prayer is to develop a deeper connection with God or the divine, while also cultivating a greater sense of inner peace, compassion, and gratitude. By focusing on the present moment and opening oneself up to the power of prayer, individuals can develop a greater sense of spiritual awareness and connectedness, leading to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Mindfulness Prayer 1
Jennifer,
I stumbled on your site and am so glad I did! You are a breath of fresh air when stress and loss have sucked the oxygen out of my soul. Beautiful. I loved these words: “Reveal to me my own power to love who I am and honor where I’ve been, and still accomplish what needs to be done. It’s the same power that dissolves force into feeling. It’s the power of a long exhale that sparks freedom and healing.
Amen.
Mindfulness Prayer 2
Merciful One,
Give me grace to be mindful today of your constant, loving presence. Give me wisdom to listen for your voice. Open my heart to your glory in everything, your light in everyone, even those who do not see it. Remind me everyone I meet is struggling. Help me to see with clear eyes, without judging or reacting. Help me to be patient with weakness and forgiving of myself and others. Nudge me to learn from every mistake, to be courageous in the face of fear, to seize every chance to show love. Ever-present Love, keep me mindful this day of your mysterious grace, your goodness and mercy that shadow me all of my day and through the night.
Amen.
