Daily Devotional – Habakkuk 2:15 – January 06, 2025

““Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!” – Habakkuk 2:15

When I read this verse, I envision a scene of manipulation and exploitation, where one person takes advantage of another’s weakness for selfish gain.

**Habakkuk 2:15** warns against the dangers of leading others into temptation and sin for our own pleasure. This verse reminds us of the responsibility we carry in our interactions with others, particularly in how we influence their choices. As Christians, we are called to uplift and support our neighbors rather than exploit them; we must be vigilant in ensuring our actions reflect Christ’s love and integrity.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to be a source of encouragement and strength for those around me. May I reflect Your love in my actions and guard against leading others astray. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
