“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3:23-24
When I read this verse, I think of a dedicated craftsman working diligently on their masterpiece. Our work, when done with all our heart for the Lord, is meaningful and rewarded.
Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us to work wholeheartedly, as if working for the Lord. This perspective transforms our work into an act of worship, knowing that we will receive an inheritance from Him as a reward.
As Christians, we are called to serve the Lord in all we do. By working with dedication and heart, we honor Him and look forward to the eternal rewards He promises.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the opportunity to serve You in all we do. Help us to work with all our heart, as if working for You. Let our efforts be an act of worship, honoring You and reflecting Your love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
