Daily Devotional – 2 Chronicles 13:13 – June 14, 2026

“But Jeroboam caused an ambush to come about behind them; so they were before Judah, and the ambush was behind them.” – 2 Chronicles 13:13

When I read this verse, I picture the strategic tension of a battle, with enemies closing in from both sides.

2 Chronicles 13:13 reminds us of the importance of vigilance and strategy in our spiritual battles. Just as Jeroboam used ambush to gain an advantage, we must recognize the unseen challenges and temptations that surround us. As Christians, we can apply this by staying alert in our faith, seeking God’s wisdom to navigate life’s challenges, and relying on His strength to overcome the ambushes that life may present.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to remain vigilant and aware of the spiritual battles we face daily. Grant us the wisdom to recognize the ambushes in our lives and the strength to trust in You for victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
