“He did that which was evil, because he didn’t set his heart to seek Yahweh.” – 2 Chronicles 12:14
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the importance of keeping our hearts focused on seeking God’s will rather than being led astray by worldly temptations.
2 Chronicles 12:14 reminds us that when we fail to seek the Lord with all our hearts, we open ourselves up to making choices that are displeasing to Him. As Christians, we can apply this verse by making a conscious effort to prioritize our relationship with God above all else, seeking His guidance and wisdom in all aspects of our lives.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to continually set our hearts on seeking You above all else. Guide us in making decisions that align with Your will and keep us from straying away from Your path. May our hearts be fully devoted to You, now and always. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
