Softball Prayer 1

God,
Allow me to play my best, but with integrity. Allow competition to make me STRONGER – But Never Bitter, Jealous or inconsiderate of others or the GAME. Always encourage me to see my opponents as people. And keep my heart filled with compassion and sportsmanship. If I shall see the BLESSINGS of victory, allow me to be proud but keep me reckless boasting. If victory is denied, keep me from feeling defeated, yet allow me to be genuinely proud for a worthy competitor as I say “GOOD GAME.” At the end of each day, help me to find the life lessons that you want me to learn, so that I may grow as an athlete and person. If through the softball field, I set an example, ALLOW it be one I can be proud of.

Softball Prayer 2

Please send thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this hard time. It would be greatly appreciated if everyone would come out to the panther at 12PM for a silent prayer on behalf of our sister/teammate. We appreciate everyone’s support. Lady Panther Softball

Dear God,
Please guide our team. Dear God, please help us to have a great season. Dear God, please let me hit the ball today and make it far so I can get on base. And thank you for the food we are about to eat for lunch.

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want. He maketh me to sit in his heavenly halls. Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Lord,
Please bless my teammates and me as we compete today. Watch over us as we learn the game and play it with integrity. We know that you are always with us, so help us be humble, respectful and hard-working.

Remind me to breathe. Remind me who I am. Remind me of my strength. Help me play with a reckless abandon, and simply trust that you will catch me when I fall.

Lord,
Thank you for giving me the strength to go out and give it all I got. Please don’t let me have a bad attitude just because we lost last time. I know we can beat them. I’m confident that we will win today! Thank you, Lord.
