Short Prayer For My Son

Some days there’s no time for a long prayer. You’re dropping him at school, watching him drive away for the first time, or lying awake because he isn’t answering his phone. Short prayers are made for those moments. They’re the ones you can say in a breath and keep saying all day.

2 minute read

The Bible’s shortest prayers are among its most powerful. A father whose son was sick came to Jesus and said, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Another, the royal official at Capernaum, said simply, “Sir, come down ere my child die.” Jesus answered both.
