“My soul is also in great anguish.
But you, Yahweh—how long?” – Psalms 6:3
When I read this verse, I can almost feel the weight of despair that envelops the psalmist, a cry echoing through the ages that resonates with our own moments of distress.
Psalm 6:3 captures a profound sense of anguish and longing for relief. In times of pain, it’s easy to feel abandoned, yet this verse reminds us that it is okay to express our struggles to God. As Christians, we can take comfort in knowing that God hears our cries; we can bring our anguish before Him and trust in His timing for relief and healing.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, in my moments of anguish, help me to remember that You are always listening and present. Give me the strength to wait patiently for Your deliverance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
