Daily Devotional – Psalms 3:4 – February 17, 2025

“I cry to Yahweh with my voice,
and he answers me out of his holy hill.
Selah.” – Psalms 3:4

When I read this verse, I envision a moment of desperation transformed into hope, where my cries reach the heavens and God’s response brings peace to my restless heart.

Psalms 3:4 reminds us that in our times of trouble, we can cry out to God and trust that He hears us. The phrase “out of his holy hill” indicates that God is not distant; rather, He is actively engaged and ready to respond to our pleas. As Christians, we can apply this truth by turning to God in prayer during our struggles, knowing that He is our refuge and source of strength.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for being a God who hears my cries and answers me in my time of need. Help me to remember to turn to You first in all circumstances, trusting that You are always with me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
