“But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn’t offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.” – Numbers 9:13
When I read this verse, I envision the solemnity of the Passover and the importance of being prepared to partake in sacred moments with God.
Numbers 9:13 highlights the serious consequences of neglecting our spiritual responsibilities and the significance of honoring God’s appointed times. As Christians, we are reminded that our relationship with God requires intentionality and commitment; we must not overlook the opportunities to worship and serve Him. Just as the Israelites were called to observe the Passover, we are called to participate actively in our faith, making time for prayer, worship, and community.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to prioritize my relationship with You and be attentive to the times You have set for worship and communion. May I never take for granted the opportunities to draw closer to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
