“gave his offering:
one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred thirty shekels,
one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a meal offering;” – Numbers 7:43
When I read this verse, I picture a community coming together in worship, each offering a piece of their resources to honor God.
**Numbers 7:43** reminds us that offerings, no matter their size, are significant when given with a pure heart. The detailed description of the gifts signifies the importance of bringing our best to God, reflecting our gratitude and reverence. As Christians, we can apply this by examining what we offer in our own lives—our time, talents, and treasures—and ensuring that we give generously and joyfully, recognizing that each act of giving contributes to God’s work in the world.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to give our best offerings to You, whether through our resources or our time in service. May our hearts be filled with gratitude as we give cheerfully to further Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
