“Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.” – Numbers 12:15
When I read this verse, I picture the camp of Israel, bustling with activity, suddenly pausing for the sake of one person in need of restoration.
**Numbers 12:15** reminds us of the significance of community and the importance of caring for one another, even when it means delaying progress. Miriam’s exclusion was a consequence of her actions, yet the entire community waited for her restoration, highlighting the value of unity and support within the body of Christ. As Christians, we are called to be sensitive to the needs of others and to foster an environment where healing and reconciliation can occur, even if it means sacrificing our own timelines.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to be mindful of those who may be struggling or in need of grace in my community. May I be patient and supportive, recognizing that our journey together is just as important as the destination. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
