“‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’” – Mark 9:48
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the seriousness of our choices and the eternal consequences they carry.
Mark 9:48 reminds us of the reality of separation from God and the suffering that comes from a life lived apart from Him. This vivid imagery serves as a sobering call to reflect on our spiritual journey and the importance of making choices that lead us closer to God. As Christians, we can apply this verse by striving to live in a way that honors God, sharing the message of His love and salvation with others, and encouraging those around us to seek a relationship with Him.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to understand the weight of my choices and to live in a way that leads others to You. May I be a beacon of Your love, guiding those who are lost back to the light of Your grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
