Daily Devotional – Mark 9:21 – March 19, 2026

“He asked his father,
“How long has it been since this has come to him?”
He said, “From childhood.” – Mark 9:21

When I read this verse, I am reminded of the deep roots of struggle that can accompany us from an early age, echoing through our lives like a persistent shadow.

**Mark 9:21** He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has come to him?” He said, “From childhood.” This exchange highlights the profound impact of long-standing challenges and the importance of seeking healing and hope. In our Christian walk, we are encouraged to bring our burdens, no matter how long they have been carried, to Jesus for restoration and healing.

As Christians, we can apply this verse by recognizing that our past struggles do not define our future. No matter how long we have faced difficulties, we can always turn to God for help and transformation. We are called to trust in His power to heal and restore, allowing His grace to guide us in overcoming our challenges.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for being a source of hope and healing in our lives, regardless of how long we have been struggling. Help us to trust in Your power and seek Your guidance as we confront our past and look forward to the future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
