“He said to them,
“Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket
or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?” – Mark 4:21
When I read this verse, I envision a bright lamp illuminating a dark room, a beacon of hope and guidance that cannot be hidden.
Mark 4:21 reminds us that the purpose of a lamp is to shine brightly, not to be concealed. In the same way, our faith and the light of Christ within us are meant to be shared with the world, bringing hope and truth to those around us. As Christians, we are called to live openly and boldly, allowing our actions and words to reflect the love of God, so that others may see our light and glorify our Father in heaven.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to shine my light brightly for You and not hide it away. May my life be a testament to Your love and grace, leading others to seek You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
