“He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.” – Mark 3:1
When I read this verse, I picture the scene in the synagogue, filled with tension and anticipation. Mark 3:1 reveals a moment where Jesus enters a familiar space, yet finds a man in need of healing, symbolizing both physical and spiritual restoration. This passage reminds us that Jesus often seeks out those who are broken or marginalized, calling us to be mindful of the needs around us. As Christians, we can apply this by being attentive to the struggles of others, offering support and love, and recognizing that healing often comes through our willingness to reach out.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to be aware of those in need around me, just as Jesus was in the synagogue. Give me the courage to extend compassion and support to those who are struggling. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
