This young man’s attempt to escape while still clinging to his linen cloth symbolizes the struggle between the desire to remain connected to Jesus and the fear of the repercussions that come with it. As Christians, we can reflect on our own fears and the ways we might hesitate to fully embrace our faith in challenging times.
