“He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.” – Mark 14:35
When I read this verse, I picture Jesus, burdened and alone, seeking solace in the garden as He faces the weight of the world.
Mark 14:35 captures a poignant moment of vulnerability in the life of Jesus. Even in His darkest hour, He turned to prayer, demonstrating that it is natural to seek relief from overwhelming trials. As Christians, we can apply this by recognizing that prayer is our lifeline in times of distress; we should not shy away from bringing our fears and burdens to God, just as Jesus did.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for modeling the importance of prayer in every season of life. Help me to bring my worries and struggles before You, trusting in Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
