Daily Devotional – Mark 11:21 – February 09, 2026

“Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”” – Mark 11:21

When I read this verse, I picture the withered fig tree standing as a testament to the authority of Christ’s words, a visual reminder of the power of faith and the consequences of spiritual barrenness.

Mark 11:21 reminds us of the importance of recognizing the fruits of our faith and the impact of Jesus’ words in our lives. Just as the fig tree withered at His command, we too can experience transformation when we align ourselves with His teachings. Christians can apply this by examining their own spiritual fruitfulness and seeking to cultivate a life that reflects Christ’s love and truth.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to recognize the areas in our lives that need your transformative touch. May we strive to bear good fruit and live in alignment with your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
