Daily Devotional – Mark 10:14 – May 26, 2025

“But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them,
“Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.” – Mark 10:14

When I read this verse, I envision a scene filled with laughter and innocence as children run joyfully toward Jesus, their faces bright with hope and trust.

Mark 10:14 reminds us of the deep love Jesus has for children and the importance of their place in His Kingdom. His indignation toward those who would hinder their access to Him highlights the value God places on faith that is pure, simple, and untainted by the complexities of adulthood. As Christians, we are called to embody this childlike faith, welcoming the vulnerable and innocent into our lives and communities, and ensuring that we nurture the spiritual growth of the next generation.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to embrace a childlike faith and to create an environment where everyone, especially children, can come to You freely. May we reflect Your love and compassion in our actions today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
