Daily Devotional – Jeremiah 1:15 – July 28, 2025

“For, behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says Yahweh.
“They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem,
and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.” – Jeremiah 1:15

When I read this verse, I envision a divine gathering of nations, each with its own authority and purpose, standing at the gates of Jerusalem, a city known for its significance in God’s plan.

**Jeremiah 1:15** reminds us of God’s sovereignty over all nations and His control over events in our lives. This passage illustrates how God’s plans may include challenges that test our faith and resilience. As Christians, we can draw strength from the assurance that God is aware of our struggles, even when external forces seem overwhelming; we can trust that He remains in command and is working for our good amidst adversity.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your sovereignty and for being our protector amidst life’s storms. Help us to trust in Your plans and to stand firm in faith, even when the challenges seem great. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
