“In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came by Haggai, the prophet, to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,” – Haggai 1:1
When I read this verse, I imagine the moment when God speaks directly to His people through the prophet Haggai, igniting a spark of hope and purpose in a time of uncertainty.
**Haggai 1:1** reminds us that God is actively involved in our lives, even in the smallest details and moments. He speaks to leaders and ordinary people alike, guiding them to fulfill His purposes. As Christians, we can apply this by being attentive to God’s voice in our daily lives, seeking His guidance in our decisions and challenges, and being open to His direction in our personal and communal missions.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to be attentive to Your voice and to recognize Your guidance in my life. May I respond with faith and obedience, trusting in Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
