Daily Devotional – Ephesians 2:8-9 – June 19, 2024

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

When I read this verse, I think of a precious gift given freely, representing the grace of God. Our salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn by our own efforts.

Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith. This salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our works. It humbles us and points to God’s incredible love and generosity.

As Christians, we can rejoice in the gift of salvation, knowing that it is by God’s grace alone. Our faith in Him brings us into a relationship with Him, free from the need to earn His favor.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your grace. Help us to embrace this gift with gratitude and to live our lives in faith. Let us always remember that it is not by our works but by Your grace that we are saved. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
