“Yahweh relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” says Yahweh.” – Amos 7:3
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the incredible power and mercy of our God. Despite the impending judgment, Yahweh relented and showed compassion. His decision was final and His word stood firm.
Amos 7:3 reminds us that God’s plans can be changed through prayer and repentance. As Christians, we can trust in God’s sovereignty and approach Him with our requests, knowing that He hears us and may choose to relent for our sake. Let us seek His face in humility and faith, believing in His ability to change circumstances for our good.

Dear Lord, thank You for being a God who listens and responds to our prayers. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom, knowing that Your plans are always for our good. Teach us to seek Your will above all else and to approach You with confidence and humility. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
