“Yahweh says:
“For three transgressions of Judah, yes, for four,
I will not turn away its punishment;
because they have rejected Yahweh’s law,
and have not kept his statutes,
and their lies have led them astray,
after which their fathers walked;” – Amos 2:4
When I read this verse, I envision a loving Father who longs for His children to walk in His ways, yet grieves when they stray from His guidance.
**Amos 2:4** reflects God’s unwavering righteousness and the consequences of turning away from His law. The people of Judah faced judgment not merely for their actions but for their rejection of the truth and the deception that led them astray. As Christians, we are called to examine our own lives, ensuring that we hold fast to God’s statutes and remain vigilant against the lies that can lead us away from His path.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to remain steadfast in Your truth and to recognize the lies that may lead me astray. Strengthen my heart to follow Your law and to encourage others to do the same. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
