Daily Devotional – 2 Chronicles 2:6 – March 08, 2025

“But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?” – 2 Chronicles 2:6

When I read this verse, I am reminded of the vastness and majesty of God. It’s humbling to think that the Creator of the universe cannot be contained within any building we could construct.

**2 Chronicles 2:6** speaks to the greatness of God, emphasizing that even the heavens cannot hold Him. Solomon acknowledges that while he desires to build a temple for God, it is ultimately a humble offering of incense that expresses reverence and devotion. For Christians, this reminds us that our relationship with God is not about the grandeur of our actions but the sincerity of our hearts. We can honor God in our daily lives through simple acts of worship, kindness, and devotion, understanding that He desires our hearts more than our physical offerings.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to remember that my worship and service are about my heart’s posture towards You. May my life reflect a desire to honor You in all things, even in the simplest of ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
