“Asa had an army of three hundred thousand out of Judah who bore bucklers and spears, and two hundred eighty thousand out of Benjamin who bore shields and drew bows. All these were mighty men of valor.” – 2 Chronicles 14:8
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the strength and valor of Asa’s army, made up of mighty men from Judah and Benjamin.
2 Chronicles 14:8 shows us the importance of being equipped and prepared for spiritual battles as Christians. Just like these mighty men of valor, we are called to be strong and courageous in our faith, armed with the Word of God and ready to defend our beliefs. We should stand firm in the face of challenges, trusting in the Lord’s strength to carry us through.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for equipping us with everything we need to stand strong in our faith. Help us to be courageous and unwavering in the face of adversity, knowing that you are always with us. May we draw our strength from you, mighty God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
