“For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:2
When I read this verse, I picture Paul earnestly speaking to the Thessalonian church, reminding them of the weight and significance of the teachings they received from Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:2 reminds us that the instructions given to us by the Lord are not merely suggestions but essential guidance for living a life that honors Him. As followers of Christ, we are called to not only know His teachings but to actively incorporate them into our daily lives, striving for holiness and love in our interactions with others. By doing so, we become living testimonies of His grace and truth in a world that desperately needs hope.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to embrace and live out the instructions You have given us through Your Word. May my life reflect Your teachings so that others may see Your love and grace in me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
