Daily Devotional – 1 Samuel 9:3 – August 11, 2024

“The donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. Kish said to Saul his son, “Take now one of the servants with you, and arise, go look for the donkeys.”” – 1 Samuel 9:3

When I read this verse, I am reminded of the simple yet important task Saul was given by his father to search for the lost donkeys. Despite the seemingly mundane nature of the assignment, it was a test of Saul’s faithfulness and obedience to his father.

1 Samuel 9:3 – The donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. Kish said to Saul his son, “Take now one of the servants with you, and arise, go look for the donkeys.” This verse teaches us the value of being faithful in the small tasks we are given, as they can lead to greater opportunities and blessings in our lives.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to be faithful and obedient in the seemingly small and mundane tasks you place before us. May we see every opportunity as a chance to demonstrate our trust in You. Guide us in our daily responsibilities and lead us to greater purposes according to Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
