Daily Devotional – 1 Samuel 14:17 – March 10, 2025

“Then Saul said to the people who were with him, “Count now, and see who is missing from us.” When they had counted, behold, Jonathan and his armor bearer were not there.” – 1 Samuel 14:17

When I read this verse, I imagine the tension in the air as Saul realizes that two key members of his team are missing, highlighting the importance of unity and presence in times of crisis.

**1 Samuel 14:17** reveals a moment of concern for leadership and accountability. Saul’s inquiry about who is missing emphasizes the need for awareness and connection within a community. In our Christian walk, it is vital to recognize the contributions of those around us and to ensure that we are all engaged in the mission God has called us to.

As Christians, we can apply this lesson by actively checking in on our fellow believers and ensuring that no one feels isolated or overlooked. It encourages us to foster a sense of belonging and support within our church and community, reminding us that each member plays a vital role in God’s plan.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to be attentive to those around us, ensuring that no one feels lost or alone in their journey of faith. May we build strong connections within our community and support one another in love and purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
