“Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.” – 1 John 2:24
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the importance of holding onto the foundational truths of our faith. As Christians, it is crucial to remain steadfast in the teachings we have received from the beginning, for they keep us connected to the Son and the Father.
1 John 2:24 emphasizes the significance of staying rooted in the core beliefs of Christianity. By continually abiding in the truths we first heard, we are strengthened in our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. This verse encourages us to resist the temptation to stray from the foundational principles of our faith and instead remain firmly grounded in them.
