“That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life” – 1 John 1:1
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the tangible reality of Jesus Christ’s presence on earth, as witnessed by the apostles. Their firsthand experiences with Him emphasize the authenticity and truth of the Word of life.
1 John 1:1 illuminates the importance of personal encounters with Jesus. As Christians, we can deepen our faith by seeking to experience Him not only through reading the Scriptures but also through prayer, worship, and serving others. Just as the apostles touched and saw Jesus, we can seek to have a personal relationship with Him in our daily lives.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to seek You with all our hearts, to experience Your presence in tangible ways, and to grow in faith through personal encounters with You. May we be filled with Your Word of life and share it with others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
