Daily Devotional – Colossians 2:4 – June 01, 2026

“Now this I say that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.” – Colossians 2:4

When I read this verse, I envision a wise mentor guiding a young believer through a maze of competing ideas and philosophies.

Colossians 2:4 reminds us that the world is full of persuasive arguments that can lead us away from the truth of the Gospel. We must be vigilant and grounded in our faith so that we are not easily swayed by eloquent speech that contradicts God’s Word. Christians can apply this by regularly studying Scripture, engaging in prayer, and surrounding themselves with a community that encourages sound doctrine, ensuring that their hearts and minds remain anchored in Christ.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to discern truth from deception in a world filled with persuasive voices. May I always seek Your wisdom and guidance through Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
