Daily Devotional – Psalms 9:5 – February 23, 2026

“You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.” – Psalms 9:5

When I read this verse, I envision a powerful God standing in judgment, bringing justice to the oppressed and delivering His people from evil.

Psalm 9:5 reflects God’s authority over the nations and His ultimate power to bring down the wicked. It serves as a reminder that while evil may seem prevalent, God is sovereign and will one day eradicate all injustice. As Christians, we can take comfort in knowing that our God is a righteous judge, and we are called to stand firm in our faith, trusting in His timing and His plans for justice in our lives and the world around us.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your justice and righteousness. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to stand against wickedness with courage and faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
