““I sent plagues among you like I did Egypt.
I have slain your young men with the sword,
and have carried away your horses;
and I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camp,
yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh.” – Amos 4:10
When I read this verse, I envision the painful consequences of turning away from God, much like the Israelites faced during their time of rebellion.
**Amos 4:10** reminds us of the seriousness of ignoring God’s calls for repentance. Despite the hardships and trials that we might face, God desires our return to Him above all else. This scripture challenges us to reflect on our own lives and recognize areas where we may be straying from His path, encouraging us to seek reconciliation with Him.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to see the signs You provide and turn our hearts back to You when we stray. May we recognize the ways You are calling us to repentance and restoration. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
