““Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy in Yahweh’s name, that you not die by our hand;’” – Jeremiah 11:21
When I read this verse, I envision a scene of conflict where truth is at odds with fear. Jeremiah 11:21 speaks to the pressure faced by prophets and believers who are challenged to remain silent in the face of opposition. It reminds us that standing firm in our faith may invite resistance from those who oppose God’s message. As Christians, we are called to boldly proclaim the truth of God’s Word, even when it is met with hostility, trusting that He will protect us.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, grant us the courage to speak Your truth, even when it is difficult or dangerous. Help us to trust in Your protection and guidance as we navigate the challenges of our faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
