“It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.” – Genesis 7:12
When I read this verse, I can almost hear the relentless pounding of rain, a reminder of God’s power and the seriousness of His promises.
**Genesis 7:12** reminds us of the great flood that transformed the earth, signifying both judgment and a fresh start for creation. This moment in history illustrates God’s sovereignty over nature and His faithfulness to His word. As Christians, we can apply this lesson by recognizing that even in the storms of life, God is in control. We are called to trust in His plans and find hope, knowing that after every storm, He brings restoration and renewal.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to trust in Your plans even when the storms of life feel overwhelming. Remind me that You are always working for my good, and that every trial can lead to a fresh beginning in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
