“Now therefore stand still, that I may plead with you before Yahweh concerning all the righteous acts of Yahweh, which he did to you and to your fathers.” – 1 Samuel 12:7
When I read this verse, I envision a moment of pause, a divine invitation to reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout history.
1 Samuel 12:7 reminds us of the importance of standing still to recognize and remember the righteous acts of God in our lives. Just as Samuel called the Israelites to remember God’s deeds, we too should take time to reflect on His blessings and guidance. By doing so, we strengthen our faith and acknowledge the foundation upon which our relationship with God is built.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to stand still in Your presence and reflect on all the ways You have acted righteously in my life. May I always remember Your goodness and share Your faithfulness with others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
