“They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”” – Mark 10:34
When I read this verse, I imagine the weight of betrayal and suffering that Jesus willingly faced for our sake, knowing the ultimate victory that awaited Him.
**Mark 10:34** They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again. This verse starkly portrays the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the brutal reality of His path to redemption. Despite the pain and humiliation He endured, His resurrection brings hope and assurance of eternal life. As Christians, we are called to embrace our own trials with faith, knowing that God can bring good out of our suffering and that He is always with us in our darkest moments.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for enduring the suffering that we could never bear on our own. Help us to remember the hope of Your resurrection in our daily struggles. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
