“Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.” – Mark 6:34
When I read this verse, I picture Jesus stepping into a crowd, His heart heavy with love and concern for the people surrounding Him.
Mark 6:34 reveals Jesus’ deep compassion for those who are lost and in need of guidance. He recognized their vulnerability and took the initiative to teach them, demonstrating the heart of a true shepherd. As Christians, we are called to embody this same compassion, looking for opportunities to support and guide those around us who may feel lost or aimless, sharing the hope and truth of the Gospel with them.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to see those around me with eyes of compassion, just as Jesus did. Give me the courage and wisdom to share Your love and guidance with those who are lost. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
