“In that day, says Yahweh of Armies, will I take you, Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel,’ says Yahweh, ‘and will make you as a signet, for I have chosen you,’ says Yahweh of Armies.”” – Haggai 2:23
When I read this verse, I envision a master craftsman selecting a unique signet ring, a symbol of authority and identity, which carries the weight of his name and promises.
Haggai 2:23 reminds us that God has chosen us to be His representatives in the world, much like He chose Zerubbabel. Just as a signet ring is marked with the owner’s seal, we are marked by God’s love and purpose. As Christians, we can live with confidence, knowing we have been selected for a divine mission, and we must embrace our identity in Christ to make an impact in the lives of others.

Dear Lord, thank You for choosing me and giving me purpose as Your servant. Help me to embrace my identity in You and to shine Your light in every situation I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
