“He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.” – Mark 8:6
When I read this verse, I picture a vast crowd, filled with anticipation, as Jesus prepares to feed them with just a few loaves of bread.
Mark 8:6 reminds us of the miraculous power of gratitude and service. Jesus took what little was available, gave thanks, and multiplied it to meet the needs of the multitude. In our lives, we too can offer our small resources to God, trusting that He can use them to bless others abundantly.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help me to give thanks for the little I have and to be willing to serve others with it. May I trust in Your ability to multiply my efforts for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
