“I will surely require your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.” – Genesis 9:5
When I read this verse, I am reminded of the sanctity of life and the serious responsibility we have towards one another and all of God’s creation.
**Genesis 9:5** speaks to the weight of accountability we carry as stewards of life. God emphasizes the preciousness of human life and the moral obligation we have to protect and honor it. As Christians, we can apply this truth by valuing every life, advocating for justice, and treating others with love and respect, recognizing that each person is made in the image of God.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to honor the gift of life you have given us and to treat every person with dignity and compassion. May we be instruments of your peace and love in a world that often forgets the value of each individual. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
