“As for all the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel;” – 2 Chronicles 8:7
When I read this verse, I envision a diverse group of people, each with their own stories and backgrounds, standing before the promise of God’s covenant with Israel.
**2 Chronicles 8:7** reminds us that God’s love and grace extend beyond the boundaries of a chosen people. The mention of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites signifies that God’s plans are inclusive, reaching out to those who might seem distant or unworthy. As Christians, we are called to recognize the worth of every individual and to extend grace and love to those around us, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs.

Dear Lord, help me to see others through Your eyes and to embrace the diversity of Your creation. May my heart be open to love and share Your grace with all people, just as You have done for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
