Daily Devotional – Mark 10:32 – May 09, 2025

“They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.” – Mark 10:32

When I read this verse, I picture the disciples walking closely behind Jesus, filled with a mix of awe and trepidation as they journey toward Jerusalem, unaware of the profound events that lay ahead.

**Mark 10:32** reveals the intensity of the moment as Jesus leads His followers toward His destiny. The disciples are both amazed and afraid, reflecting the human experience of encountering the divine purpose. Just as Jesus prepared His disciples for what was to come, we too must be willing to embrace the unknowns in our lives, trusting that He goes before us and has a plan.

As Christians, we can apply this verse by embracing our own journeys with faith, recognizing that Jesus leads us even in times of uncertainty. We should remain open to His guidance, knowing that even when the path seems daunting, it is part of His greater purpose for our lives.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to trust in Your guidance as I navigate the uncertainties of life. May I find comfort in knowing that You are always ahead of me, preparing the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
