“As she continued praying before Yahweh, Eli saw her mouth.” – 1 Samuel 1:12
When I read this verse, I picture Hannah pouring out her heart to God in fervent prayer, so focused on her communication with Him that she didn’t notice Eli observing her. It reveals the intimacy and sincerity of her relationship with God.
1 Samuel 1:12 shows us the power of persistent and heartfelt prayer before the Lord. Christians can apply this by approaching God with honesty and vulnerability, knowing that He sees and hears our prayers even when it seems like no one else does. Let us be encouraged to pour out our hearts to God with faith and trust in His perfect timing and plan.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for always listening to our prayers, even when we are unaware of Your presence. Help us to come before You with sincerity and faith, knowing that You see and hear us. May our prayers be a sweet fragrance to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
